Additional Information: Frederick Heppell, aged 38, was killed when a single bomber dropped one HE bomb that hit the Plaza Cinema on Robertson Street, Hastings. Thirteen other people were killed and thirty five injured, twelve seriously.
Frederick was the son of Mr and Mrs J E Heppell and lived at 2 Wellington Road, Hastings. I was unable to locate Frederick’s grave marker in the main area of WW2 war graves, so he is likely buried else where on site. I will look to find it when I revisit Hastings Cemetery.
