Additional Information: Lilian Comerford, aged 62, was killed when a single bomber dropped one HE bomb that hit the Plaza Cinema on Robertson Street, Hastings. Thirteen other people were killed and thirty five injured, twelve seriously.
Lilian was the daughter of Francis Thomas and Charlotte Comerford and lived at Rose Cottage, The Ridge. I was unable to locate Lilian’s grave marker in the main area of WW2 war graves, so she is likely buried else where on site. I will look to find it when I revisit Hastings Cemetery.
