The Sussex History Forum has a post that provides this information from the Hastings and St Leonards Observer dated Saturday 7th November 1942:

Old Town Bereavement. Flight Sergeant Sydney Burr.
Mr. and Mrs. George Burr, of 17, Hastings Wall, Hastings, have suffered a sad loss by the death of their son, Flight Sergt. Sydney Burr, aged 22. He was a grandson of Mr. G. Burr, formerly a member of the Hastings Town Council.

Sergt. Burr was born in Hastings, and attended Hastings Central School, joining the R.A.F. at the age of 16½. He was a member of the Old Town Junior Club, and a member of the Fishermen’s Church Choir. He had a twin brother, Dvr. George Burr, R.A.O.C., and a sister, L.A.C.W. Edith Burr, aged 19, who is a tailoress in the W.A.A.F. His father is at present serving in the Merchant Navy.

The funeral took place on Thursday at the Borough Cemetery, when the Rev. Dr. James Morgan (Vicar of Christ Church, Blacklands) officiated. Members of the R.A.F. acted as bearers.
