Additional Information: Arthur Mitten, aged 62, was wounded when an lone bomber dropped 9 high explosive bombs on Magdalen Road and other parts of St Leonards on 25th September. He died the next day at Buchanan Hospital. One other person was killed in the raid and 16 others seriously wounded.
Arthur lived at Walton Church Hill, Little Common.
I was unable to locate Arthur’s grave marker in the main area of WW2 war graves, so he is likely buried else where on site. I will look to find it when I revisit Hastings Cemetery.
