Watson, Ann Rosemary

Hastings Cemetery WW2

Name: Ann Rosemary Watson

Died on: Tuesday, 2nd February 1943

Died at: 7 Moscow Road, Clive Vale, Hastings

Additional Information: Ann Watson, aged 4, was killed when an unknown number of planes dropped several 2,000lb bombs and 14 HE bombs on St John’s Church, Upper St Leonards, Ashbrook Road, Christ Church, Ore, Moscow Road, Alfred Road & Cumberland Gardens. Three others were killed in the raid, with a further five injured, three seriously.

Ann was the daughter of Arthur Thomas and Nellie Louise Watson. She lived at 9 Moscow Road.

I was unable to locate Ann’s grave marker in the main area of WW2 war graves, so she is likely buried else where on site. I will look to find it when I revisit Hastings Cemetery.
